The Exhibition:

In March 2024, the Wanneroo Regional Gallery is set to host an exhibition featuring the iconic works of one of the 20th century's most influential artists, Andy Warhol. This exclusive showcase, brought to Wanneroo as part of the National Gallery of Australia's Sharing the National Collection initiative, will present Warhol's most iconic works including ‘Elvis,’ the Campbell's Soup Can suite, the complete Mick Jagger portraits series, the infamous ‘Electric Chairs’, and rarely seen ‘Spring Flowers’. The exhibition is poised to introduce these masterpieces to a new generation of Western Australian audiences.

Under the auspices of the ‘Sharing the National Collection’ initiative, this exhibition marks a significant collaboration between the National Gallery of Australia and Wanneroo Regional Gallery with the collection remaining in West Australia for a two-year period with rotating exhibitions every 3 months, allowing for extended engagement and additional exhibitions and programs, fostering collaborations with local creatives and enriching the cultural landscape of the region.
