Analog Art Club: Slow Water Drawing Workshop

Overview

Inspiration, without interruption.

Join us on Friday, 7 November from 2-4pm for our next Analog Art Club and be inspired by the slow-moving waters at TarraWarra Museum of Art.

Led by pracitising artist and educator Jonathan Vyssaritis and curator James Lynch, spend two peaceful hours of deep engagement and drawing at the TarraWarra Museum of Art. James and Jonathan will lead a session of visual thinking, memory and pastel drawing in response to artworks from the TarraWarra Museum of Art Collection. Participants will engage with painting treasures from the collection, considering artists representations of water to explore subjective interpretations and working with rich textures of oil pastel medium.

You'll leave with a beautiful artwork in hand and a renewed sense of connection.

Places are strictly limited and all materials supplied.

Analog Art Club happens on the Friday of the month at 2 – 4pm

Dates and times:

5 September 2025 – Ornamental Lake and slow water with Sarah Metzner

3 October 2025 – Long Gully Vista charcoal drawing with Mel Hartigan

7 November 2025 – Visible Art Storage and the TWMA collection with James Lynch

6 March 2026 – Free drawing and walking

About Analog Art Club

Analog Art Club is a statewide initiative that invites Victorians to slow down, switch off their screens and connect in real life — through art.

Hosted by galleries across Victoria, these phone-free events offer a welcoming space to reflect, discuss and experience art together, making creativity social, accessible and refreshingly analog.

This program encourages deeper connection with both art and community by fostering genuine, screen-free engagement in a relaxed and inclusive environment.

Analog Art Club is a joint initiative of the Public Galleries Association of Victoria (PGAV) and ArtsHub.
