An Intro to Clown: Finding the Fun

Clown, at its core, is about simplicity, connection and play.

In this 1 day intensive, students will be guided through a range of games and exercises to be more sensitive, vulnerable and playful on stage.

The morning session will primarily focus on play and understanding impulse through "Le Jeu" (The Game), a fundamental component of clown. After lunch we will explore a range of clowning techniques and skills to build stage presence, connect with the audience and find freedom in play. Focus areas will include, Clown Thinking, Fixed Point, Major/Minor, Complicité, The Flop and the Pleasure to Lie.
