An Evening with the Old Kempton Head Distiller — Melbourne Whisky Tasting

An Evening with the Old Kempton Head Distiller — Melbourne Whisky Tasting

766 Burke RdCamberwell, VIC
Friday, Mar 20, 2026 from 7 pm to 8:30 pm AEDT
Overview

Meet the maker in person. Six Old Kempton pours, a peated release, charcuterie, and a final off-menu dram. Limited seats.

Camberwell Whisky Chamber x Old Kempton

A rare opportunity to sit across the table from the Head Distiller — not a brand ambassador, but the person responsible for every decision in the glass.

Old Kempton is a true Tasmanian hand-craft distillery built on small batches and patient maturation. Over the evening, the distiller will guide us through six expressions, including a peated release, explaining how barley, fermentation and cask interaction shape a softer, oilier style of smoke.

The session is presented in a relaxed seated format and accompanied by a charcuterie board — designed as a whisky supper rather than a quick tasting.

To close the evening, a special host’s pour will be shared from a bottle not listed on the official lineup.

What’s included

• 6 Old Kempton pours (including peated release)

• Presented by the Head Distiller

• Guided discussion and Q&A

• Charcuterie board

• Bonus host’s pour

• Small-group seated setting
