Shire of Mundaring Libraries in conjunction with KSP Writers' Centre is pleased to present An Evening with Lee Battersby.
Lee Battersby is an award-winning author who has written books for children and adults, as well as over 80 short stories in Australia, Europe and the US. His stories have appeared in markets such as ‘Year’s Best Fantasy & Horror’, ‘Year’s Best Australian Scence Fiction & Fantasy’, and ‘Writers of the Future’. His children’s story, Magrit, was shortlisted for both the 2017 NSW Premier's Prize and the 2017 Children's Book Council of Australia Book of the Year. Lee lives in Rockingham with his wife, writer Lyn Battersby. He is sadly obsessed with Lego, Nottingham Forest football club, dinosaurs and Daleks.
Lee will discuss writing as abstract art and the fearlessness of children as readers.
Light refreshments will be served at 5.45pm with the talk to begin at 6pm
