Award-winning local blues musicians Chris Finnen & Marie Thérèse will sweep you off your feet in this rustic distillery nestled in the vines

If you like Blues and you live in SA, you know the name Chris Finnen.

Over four decades of travelling as a troubadour journeyman has seen Chris Finnen often referred to as the "guitarist's guitarist". Chris brings a wry twist to his original blues song-writing, adding sly humour to lyrics, focusing on the musing of everyday experiences, and embracing a strong sense of community.

Chris is joined on this magical afternoon of music by multi-instrumentalist, Mari-Trees.

Mari-Trees was born to a social activist opera junky, and a concert pianist.

She decided early on to do whatever it takes to stop Gilbert & Sullivan permeating her brain, trying very hard to not become a musician. However, fate had other plans.

Mari-Trees continues to be obsessed with the nuts and bolts of music; writing, and creating in blues, soul, folk and world genres.

Down South Distillery is a charmingly rustic venue nestled amongst the wine region of the Fleurieu Peninsula. With iconic views of hills and vines, and set away from the main drag, it's easy to lose yourself.

Smell the woodfire of the traditional pizza oven, sip on a tasting flight of handcrafted gins made by the family right here working in the venue, sample delicious sharing plates amongst good company, or let your tastebuds get carried off on the oh-so-drinkable cocktails.
