Melbourne ADF members and families are invited to attend the Welcome to Melbourne Expo 2026.

NOTE: This event is only for Australian Defence Force Members and their families.

Please note this event is open to all current serving ADF personnel who would like to attend this includes single members, those with families who are child free, those members unaccompanied / accompanied and Reservists.

Whether you are brand new to Melbourne or have been here a while, this is the perfect chance to connect, explore, and discover what is on offer for Defence families in the region.

🌟 What to expect:

Exhibitors, including local community and sporting groups, Government organisations and service providers.

  • Meet the DMFS Melbourne team in person
  • Information, interactive activities, and fun for all ages
  • Food and drinks available to purchase

👨‍👩‍👧 Bring the whole family along – there is something for everyone!

🚗 Parking: Onsite parking is available on base please follow direction of volunteers.

ℹ️ Please read all event information carefully before attending. Details are updated regularly and may differ from previous DMFS events you have registered for.

Registration is now open and closes Wednesday 18th February 2026 Close of Business. Late registrations cannot be accepted due to security requirements.

Important ticketing information:

· While tickets to this event are free, registration is essential so book now!

· You must have a Defence Common Access Card (DCAC) or be escorted by your ADF member with a DCAC to gain entry to base and this event. DCAC holder is required to escort their family members to gain entry for this event.

  • When registering for a ticket, please ensure you provide your best contact details.
  • If you or someone in your family are feeling unwell with flu-like symptoms on the day please stay at home.
  • When registering for the event, please register for a ticket for yourself and each person attending (including every baby, toddler and child).
  • Ensure that the email address you register with is accurate as you will receive your booking confirmation, and any additional information or changes to the event, by email.
  • Parents are required to remain onsite to supervise their children.
  • If you have any mobility requirements, please email us at dmfs.melbourne@defence.gov.au
  • If you become unable to attend the event, please cancel your booking by clicking on the link in your confirmation email ‘View and manage your order online’. This takes you to your ‘Tickets’ page where you can choose the ‘Cancel my Order’ option to release the tickets back to the event listing.

*Photographs will be taken at all DMFS events. Please let our staff know if you do not want your family to be photographed. Photos may be used on our social media channels or in a DMFS publication.
