ADF families in the Canberra region nominate your child/ren to receive a Child of the ADF Medallion. Celebrate their resilience and strength

NOTE: This event is only for the children of Australian Defence Force members.

There are 6 different sessions available on the day - please select the most convenient session for you. Please note each session goes for approxamitly 30 mins.

The Child of the ADF Medallion (CoADFM) will be presented to children who have shown resilience and growth in managing the challenges of the ADF lifestyle. Participation in the Child of the ADF Medallion Program is open to all

Defence resident family children aged 18 years and under of current serving (SERCAT 3-7 and SERVOP C) ADF members , who have experienced one or more of the following;

• Managing a relocation

• Connecting to a new community following relocation

• Managing a lengthy absence or frequent absences of the ADF family member due to service requirements

• Absence of ADF member due to short notice posting, deployment or exercise

To nominate your child/ren for a Child of the ADF Medallion, please register by 13/04/2026.

You should carefully read the following information to ensure you are aware of all requirements relating to this program.

This information is regularly updated and may not be the same as information on previous DMFS program/events you may have registered for.

• Participation in the CoADFM program is open to all Defence resident family children aged 18 years and under of current serving ADF members (SERCAT 3-7 and SERVOP C ).

• Each eligible participant may only receive one CoADFM during member’s service.

• When registering for the program, you must register for a ticket for each eligible child you are nominating to receive a Medallion.

• Child of the ADF Medallions will be presented to eligible participants at a presentation event. Details of the next presentation event in your region will be forwarded to you once all required information is received.

• Ensure that the email address you register with is accurate as you will receive your confirmation email, and any additional information or changes to the event, by email.

• If you would like to cancel your nomination, please click on the link in your confirmation email ‘View and manage your order online’. This takes you to your ‘Tickets’ page where you can choose the ‘Cancel my Order’ option to release the tickets back to the event listing.
