About this Event

SPRINGTIME CANOE ADVENTURE FOR ALPINE SHIRE YOUNG PEOPLE

Second Chance - if you missed out on the 29 November booking you can now book for Saturday 12 December.

You can select either 9am or 11.30am session.

The cost of this activity is subsidised by Alpine Shire Council through it’s FreeZA Youth Events Funding for young people who live in the Alpine Shire.

You will enjoy a couple of hours canoeing down the Ovens River from Centenary Park in Bright with instruction from Bright Adventure Company's experienced guides. This experience is perfect for novice kayakers who are ready for a challenge and is guaranteed to create unforgettable memories paddling on whitewater at grades of 1 to 2 depending on water levels whilst enjoying the magical environment.

When canoeing is finished, we will walk back along the river trail to Centenary Park where you will be collected by parent/guardian.

Cost per person $20 (age 12 – 17 years only)

You will be emailed a permission / waiver form for the activity which must be returned 5 business days before the activity or you will not be able to attend the activity.

Cost includes

• activities, qualified guides and safety equipment

• canoe / kayak hire

• wetsuits if the weather is cold

• loads of fun

You will receive a detailed list of compulsory equipment and clothing to bring after you have registered.

We reserve the right to cancel bookings and issue a refund for people who register from outside of the Alpine Shire.

River activities are conducted Bright Adventure Company instructors who will provide all necessary safety equipment.

Because of uncertainly around COVID-19 Restrictions, we will not be offering transport for this activity, young people will need to be dropped off at Centenary Park in time for the start of their session and will walk back to Centenary Park where they will need to be picked up by a parent/guardian.

Participants will not be required to wear a mask during the activity but must have a fact mask available for non-active times.
