Alpaca Magic: Learn to Needle Felt with Alpaca Fibre (2 hour workshop)
Needle felting is a quick and easy, inexpensive dry felting method, requiring only a few tools and a very small space. You can needle felt when you have just a few minutes or hours on end.
In this 2 hour workshop, you will use Alpaca Magic's beautiful alpaca fibre to make a make a one of a kind bookmark. The techniques we cover during the workshop will enable you to go home and work on your own projects.
All materials will be provided for the workshop. i.e. Alpaca and llama fibre, and all necessary tools.
The workshop is being held in the Fitters Workshop - adjacent to the Old Bus Depot Markets (inside the Former Transport Depot building), overlooking Brodburger and the Canberra Glassworks.
The workshop is suitable for beginners, and those with intermediate skills.
There will be needle felting kits and extra materials available for purchase after the class if you would like to work on your own projects at home.
The workshop requires a minimum of 8 participants to proceed
ABOUT ALPACA MAGIC
Alpaca Magic Stud began in 1997 with just a couple of alpacas. Soon after they bought some llamas and began their Llama Magic Stud. They were one of the first Llama Studs in NSW, and are the largest Llama Stud in NSW with around 200 camelids (alpacas and llamas). Glynda from Alpaca Magic runs a variety of workshops, and the Old Bus Depot Markets are delighted that she will be on site to teach people to Needle Felt with Alpaca Fibre.
