Responsive Regulation
The ALLAF Conference for 2018 will be held in Melbourne on 10-11 October.
Speakers will include representatives from regulatory agencies, industry, local government and academia who will reflect on the theme of responsive regulation and what this means from the perspective of business, regulators and consumers.
Regulators have the dual role of allowing for economic development whilst minimising harm. At the conference, you will be asked to consider how regulators:
- can adapt to but not unduly hinder emerging business models
- respond to new threats and issues in a way that appropriately minimises the risks inherent in the supply and consumption of liquor whilst meeting increasing community expectations.
The conference will be held:
Dates: Wednesday 10 October (8.30am - 5.00pm) - Thursday 11 October 2018 (9.00am - 4.00pm)
Venue: Citadines on Bourke, 131-135 Bourke Street, Melbourne
