'All In Program' Session for Early Childhood Educators
'All In' is a primary prevention program designed for early childhood settings. It provides educators tools to support children.
This session is for Early Childhood Educators.
The All in Project is developed and delivered by Women's and Girls' Emergency Centre (WAGEC). All In contributes to the primary prevention of gender-based violence in NSW through delivering gender equality and respectful relationships education to influential adults - including families and carers, in early childhood education and community settings. All In supports the prevention of violence by providing influential adults with practical tools to support children in developing healthy, respectful relationships and valuing people of all genders from their early years.
Primary prevention is about stopping violence BEFORE IT STARTS. We do this by addressing the underlying causes of violence.
All in is grounded in the National Years Early Learning Framework and Our Watch's Change the Story and Changing the Picture, primary prevention frameworks. The program is informed by The Anti- Bias Approach in Early Childhood (ed. Dr Red Ruby Scarlet) and the Wiyi Yani U Thangani framework for First Nations Gender Justice.
What you will learn about:
- How to prevent gender-based violence
- Recognising and responding to gender sterotypes
- Promoting gender equality
- Supporting safe, healthy and respectful relationships
Catering will be provided on the day.
