Welcome to the All Abilities School Holiday Program (Blacktown)! Join us at the Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope for a fun-filled event tailored for school-aged children and young people of all abilities. Our program offers a range of activities designed to promote inclusivity and enjoyment for children with disability and their siblings. This includes children with a physical disability, intellectual and sensory impairments and Autism Spectrum Disorders. From sports to arts and crafts, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Frequently asked questions

Do I have to stay with my child?

This is a "drop and go" school holiday program so you can leave your kids with our experienced coaches while you work or take some time for yourself. If your child has high support needs please have a support worker attend with them.

Can I use my current NDIS funding to cover the session?

Yes! Follow instructions below based on your NDIS funding: Self-Managed - Email Alison (alisonj@collectiveleisure.com.au) who will organise an invoice. Plan Managed - Please send details of your plan manager to Alison (alisonj@collectiveleisure.com.au) who will organise an invoice to be sent.

Who is this program for?

Our school holiday program is for school aged children with disability, including physical disabilities, intellectual and sensory impairments and Autism Spectrum Disorders. We offer discounted places for non-NDIS eligible siblings so everyone can join in the fun!

Can siblings join?

Yes! We offer discounted places for school aged siblings who aren't eligible for the NDIS so that they can join in the fun with their sibling/s in an inclusive space and you can keep working (or take a break!).

What is the age requirement?

School aged children and young people - so 5-18. Children and young people will be grouped with those of similar ages on the day.

Will there be a support worker at the event?

There will be a disability support worker at the event to support participants. If your child has high support needs please organise a support worker to attend with them.

Do the coaches have the relevant qualifications?

All sports coaches and support workers have a valid Working with Children Check, Police Check, First Aid, CPR and relevant sports qualifications.

What activities will there be?

We will provide a range of multisports and art activities. These all serve as a platform for kids to socialise and have fun while learning new skills. Sports include pickleball, ball games, mini games, basketball, soccer and more. Our art teacher will be running watercolour and drawing sessions.

Is lunch provided?

No, please send your child with some snacks and a packed lunch and water bottle.

What if my child has sensory impairments?

We have you covered! There will be a quiet space for kids to retreat to. Our art teacher will help them relax with some colouring in, drawing and painting. There will be playdough and other sensory materials to help them relax and recharge.

What is the staffing ratio?

The maximum ratio is 1 coach to 7 participants.
