ALCC Library and Archive Copyright Training - Sydney
Event Information
Description
Copyright! It touches on almost all areas of practice in libraries and archives, yet many do not feel confident in dealing with it on a day to day basis. Recognising the need, the Australian Libraries Copyright Committee (ALCC) continues to provide free copyright training to member organisations and their employees - ALIA, NSLA, CAUL, NLA, AGLIN, NAA, CAARA and Aust Soc Archivists.
This proactive session aims to arm librarians and achivists with the knowledge and skills to tackle copyright in their instituitions. From document delivery to story time, preservation to twitter we cover it all and take questions for the floor.
There are two sessions, Copyright Essentials (which will start from the beginning) and Copyright Extended. Copyright Extended assumes either a base knowledge of copyright or attendence at the morning session.
The two sessions are designed so that you can either attend one as a stand alone session or combine both for a full day program. However if you are coming for the full day PLEASE ENSURE YOU REGISTER FOR BOTH SESSIONS.
Both sessions will be held at the State Library of NSW.
