About this event
Mark Congreve, herbicide specialist with ICAN, will be presenting a timely workshop on optimising post-emergent herbicides for in-crop weed control.
Topics to be covered include:
• How different modes of action work and how do we optimise application for each of the key modes of action
• Interactions (synergy or antagonism) between different herbicide modes of action
• Spray coverage requirements for different herbicide groups
• Poor results – is it resistance or application?
• Impact of temperature, frost and other stress events (e.g. water logging or too dry) on efficacy and crop safety
• Adjuvants and water quality
The morning workshop session will be followed by an in-paddock demonstration of sprayer set-up to optimise coverage for different weed targets in the canopy.
Workshops commence at 9am and will be finished by mid-afternoon.
Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
