The Qld Valuer-General has issued new Land Valuation notices to land owners in the following CQ Local Government Areas, with significant increases in unimproved capital value:

Banana: 154%
Central Highlands: 121.3%
Isaac: 70.1%
Livingstone: 30.1%

The deadline for lodging objections to the new land valuations is 27 May 2024. New valuations come into effect on 1 July 2024.

For perpetual leases (GHPLs) it’s also an opportunity to apply to convert to freehold title before the cost of doing this rises again.
