Chris Noonan was part of the inaugural intake of AFTRS students in 1973, and later become director of Film Australia and Chairman of the Australian Film Commission.
His works include Stepping Out (1980), The Cowra Breakout (1985), Vietnam (1987), The Riddle of the Stinson (1988), Police State (1989) and Miss Potter (2006).
This event celebrates his hugely successful debut feature film Babe, released in 1995 and co-written by George Miller. Babe was nominated for seven Oscars (including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay) and is the third-highest grossing Australian film of all time.
