Join best-selling author of historical fiction, Darry Fraser, for this special afternoon tea event.

The book
In her new novel set in the 1880s, readers follow the adventures and experiences of Molly Bentley whose father sends his adventure-spirited daughter to the bustling port town of Albany in Western Australia. Accompanied by a chaperone Mrs Caldicott, not all goes smoothly and the two women are soon swept up into a threatening and dangerous situation that finds them on the move again, this time across to Adelaide and rural Victoria. Will Molly ever be able to find the freedom she so desperately craves?

About the author

Darry Fraser fell in love with the great Murray River when her family moved to her childhood town of Swan Hill in Victoria.

Stories of the river have been with her ever since and it's where a number of her novels are set. Her stories are of ordinary people in 19th century Australia who are drawn into difficult circumstances - adventure, mystery and mayhem, love and life - and against the backdrop of historical events.

Darry lives on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia, very close to the mighty Murray River.

Afternoon tea included.

Copies of the book will be available to purchase (card only)
