Join Wandana Education and learn about Aboriginal culture in this exciting and engaging workshop with a traditional Aboriginal Ceremony including Didgeridoo, Acknowledgement to Country, Ochre face paint and Smoking/Sweeping Ceremony. Children will have the opportunity to explore Aboriginal artefacts and Dreamtime storytelling, Aboriginal art symbols and their meanings, before painting their own personal Journey stone.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:

Ms Gabby Collins is a proud Aboriginal woman from the Biripi Aboriginal Tribe of Port Macquarie, NSW. Gabby is passionate about learning and sharing her culture to inspire the next generation. Her interests include painting, music, dance and water sports. Gabbys totem is the shark.

ABOUT THE VENUE:

MARRICKVILLE PAVILION AND LIBRARY is accessible by lift from both the street and ground levels. The venue is accessible for people using wheelchairs and other mobility aids. There is a hearing loop available.
