Keynote Speaker - Mark Zhakevich

Mark grew up in Russia, where it was illegal to be a Christian at the time, and his parents were actively involved in the underground church there. When his family immigrated to Los Angeles and joined Grace Community Church. Mark has earned his M.Div. and Th.M. degrees from the Master's Seminary and a Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh. Mark joined the church staff in 2007 and currently serves as Pastor of Administration and as a staff elder in Crossroads, where he leads the Foundation Bible study. He also teaches Exegesis of the Gospel of John; New Testament Introduction; New Testament Survey; and Rome, Judea, and Jesus at the Master's Seminary. Mark also was also on the translation committee for the Legacy Standard Bible.


Seminar Speakers

Dr. Andrew Courtis - Andrew is the Chairman of the AFBC and Senior Pastor or Emmanuel Baptist Church. He has served in churches in both NSW and Victoria and completed his DMin from The Masters Seminary. Andrew is a passionate expositor of God's Word and committed to seing the church strengthened in Australia.

Dr. Philip Zhakevich - Philip serves as an Assistant Professor of Old Testament at The Masters Seminary.He teaches courses in Hebrew grammar and exegesis, along with Th.M. level classes in the Old Testament. Philip was raised alongside his brothers at Grace Community Church and is passionate about helping people interpret Scripture faithfully.

Pastor Shane Bywater - Shane is the Senior Pastor of Fellowship Baptist Moorebank. Shane grew up in a Pastor's home and spent most of his adult life in sales and leadership coaching. Believing he was called of God to pursue full-time ministry he trained at Morling Baptist College and started pastoring FBC in 2017. Shane has a passion for Jesus and people and loves seeing them grow in their faith.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get to Emmanuel Baptist Church?

EBC is easily accessible by car through our 2 entrances, one on Old Windsor Road and the other on Shaun Drive. The church is also located directly opposite the Bella Vista Metro station and is just a short walk across the overpass.

Do I have to register my children?

Yes - We ask that you register all of the people coming with you to the conference for catering purposes.

Will there be any childminding?

Yes - There will be creche for children aged 0-5. Primary aged children will need to sit with their parents in the auditorium
