Advanced Robotics Masterclass

Bradfield First BuildingBradfield, NSW
Thursday, Mar 5, 2026 from 9 am to 1 pm
Overview

AMRF Connect, in collaboration with the AMCN, will be hosting a masterclass on advanced robotics on 5 March at First Building, Bradfield.

Join AMRF Connect for an Advanced Robotics Masterclass, delivered in collaboration with the Australian Manufacturing Capability Network (AMCN). This in‑person session at the Advanced Manufacturing Readiness Facility (AMRF) in First Building, Bradfield will bring together innovators, industry leaders, and technology experts to explore cutting‑edge robotics and the future of advanced manufacturing.

Across this half‑day program, you’ll gain practical insights into emerging robotics applications, hear from national capability partners, and connect with peers driving manufacturing transformation. A networking lunch is included.

Keynote presentation

Dominic Lindsay will share the compelling story behind NexoBot, not just the technology, but the vision, challenges, and determination that fuelled its development.

This event offers participants a unique opportunity to learn from a founder who is democratising automation for Australian SMEs, and putting technology once reserved for global giants in the hands of small and regional operators Australia wide.

About the speaker

Dominic brings over a decade of experience in logistics and parcel automation, beginning with major CapEx projects at Australia Post and culminating in one of the country’s first deployments of autonomous mobile robots. Frustrated by the inaccessibility of traditional automation (e.g., conveyors), he launched NexoBot in 2023 with a mission to democratise automation. Dominic leads a lean engineering team that designs, builds, and codes every aspect of the NexoBot system—from 3D-printed shells to embedded electronics, firmware, and cloud software that connects to transport systems.

About the organisers

AMRF Connect brings together industry, research, and government to accelerate advanced manufacturing capability in Western Sydney and beyond. Through events, masterclasses, and collaboration opportunities, it helps businesses explore new technologies, build meaningful connections, and access pathways for innovation and commercialisation.

The Australian Manufacturing Capability Network (AMCN), led by the ARM Hub, supports the Australian Government’s Industry Growth Program by linking innovative businesses with the expertise, infrastructure, and networks needed to scale advanced technologies and fast‑track commercialisation.
