Event description

Description

Join us for our first camp for the year in the picturesque Benarkin State Forest, situated on small flats beside Emu Creek, a tributary of the Brisbane River. A great variety of wildlife can be seen in among the towering blackbutt and ironbark forests, hoop pine plantations, dense vine scrub and open woodlands of Benarkin State Forest.

Logging and service tracks crisscross the forest and four-wheel driving is allowed but restricted to formed roads only. Possibilities include gold fossicking at the Seven Mile Diggings and for those that are game, the Old Esk North Road/Old Coach Road from Nanango to Blackbutt.

In addition to booking through Eventbrite, you will need to book directly through the government booking service - https://qpws.usedirect.com/qpws/. For more information on fees, visit the Queensland Parks and Wildlife webpage: https://www.npsr.qld.gov.au/experiences/camping/camping_fees.html
