ACN and Planet Puberty - Parent and Carers Session

ACN and Planet Puberty - Parent and Carers Session

Overview

Puberty doesn’t come with a manual. This session helps parents and carers understand changes and feel more confident.

Puberty can be confusing for kids and parents! Join us for a relaxed, supportive session designed for parents and carers of young people with autism and intellectual disability.

All parents and carers are welcome. The content for this session has been co‑designed with people with lived experience, as well as parents and carers of children with mild to moderate autism and intellectual disability.

You’ll walk away feeling more confident, informed, and prepared to navigate the changes ahead.

In this session, you will:

  • Learn practical strategies for managing common puberty challenges
  • Discover helpful resources from Planet Puberty that you can use at home
  • Get your questions answered in a safe, judgment-free space
  • Connect with other parents and carers who “get it”

Whether you’re just starting to think about puberty or looking for ways to handle tricky situations, this session gives you the tools and support to help your child - and yourself - feel more confident. A free light lunch is also included.

Don’t miss this chance to make puberty less overwhelming and more manageable for your family!

ACN requires everyone attending our events to follow our participant’s code of conduct found here.
