The Open House Melbourne program is expanding to produce a progressive series of events and programs throughout the year that are designed to broaden the groundswell of interest in critical issues about our built environment.

Explore the work of ACMI's Collection team as they care for the over 250,000 film, videogames, artworks, home movies and stills in the collection. Meet members of our conservation team and discover the crucial work of time-based media conservation and digitisation. ACMI is the world’s most visited moving image museum. Since we opened our doors in 2002, we’ve welcomed over 14.7 million visitors to Australia’s only museum of screen culture. ACMI celebrates the past, present and future of the moving image with a vibrant program of exhibitions, screenings, commissions and festivals, alongside public, industry and education programs.With the support of the Victorian Government and the generosity of our partners, ACMI has undergone a $40 million major redevelopment which includes a dramatic transformation of the building with new exhibition spaces, a contemporary café and bar with new interior, revitalised shop, a revamped cinema experience, a media preservation lab, new event spaces and learning labs.
