Aboriginal Perspectives in the Early Years Learning Framework

Join us for a transformative workshop on "Aboriginal Perspectives in the Early Years Learning Framework".

Facilitated by the renowned Jessica Staines, Koori Curriculum Director, this session promises an enriching experience unlike any other.

  • Together we will dive deep into the Early Years Learning Framework and explore ways to program and plan through an authentic Aboriginal lens.
  • Discover how to infuse your curriculum with Aboriginal culture by using the 8ways of learning, creating cultural learning plans, and crafting reconciliation commitment statements.
  • Uncover the myriad of possibilities of intertwining culture throughout all EYLF outcomes, principles and practices.


Sustainability and Nature Play in the Early Years Learning Framework

Bec Burch from Cottonwood Learning will share insights of the new principle of Sustainability in practice and how it interweaves with nature pedagogy in this live session.

With extensive experience in nature play and bush kindy programs, the workshop will enrich your pedagogical understandings and curriculum planning.

This session will support educators to:

  • Explore the new Sustainability Principle in EYLF 2.0
  • Reflect on our teams Sustainability’s Super skills
  • Examine what the principle looks like in Practice in nature play
  • Consider place based pedagogy and what your own context offers for curriculum inspiration and provocations.

Workshop day:

Registration from 9am, Workshop is 9.30-3.00pm with lunch and refreshments provided.

Parking readily available.


BOOKING: Tickets are limited to one at a time to ensure that PARTICIPANTS complete the registration, as there is personal questions relating to medical and professional knowledge. At the end, they can click - Pay by Credit Card, Pay by Invoice - and the invoice will be sent to the Centre.

What do I bring?

A notebook and pen will be handy to take notes. Wear or bring layered clothing as weather can change throughout day and room has windows and fans, with no aircon.

Do you offer refunds?

Tickets are sold on a strictly no-refund basis. But in the event that the workshop is cancelled, you will be refunded the face value of the ticket. If the event is postponed due to unforeseen circumstances we will give you the option to have a ticket for the next event.

I can no longer attend, can my colleague attend in my place?

Yes just contact us to change the name of the ticket and attain any dietary requirements for catering.
