Come along and learn the art of Aboriginal cultural weaving with local Elder and Wiradjuri woman, Lee Carr. Limited numbers so get in quick.

Come along and learn the art of Aboriginal cultural weaving with local Elder and Wiradjuri woman, Aunty Lee Carr.

In each session, participants will create a new item and develop their weaving skills. Come as a group or on your own. To ensure sufficient time for participants to learn new skills, there is a maximum of 10 participants per session. Come to one or come to all.

This sessions is now FREE thanks to funding that has been received.

This is a two part workshop therefore participants are recommended to attend part one of the workshop on 23 October to start their basket base. In this workshop, participants will make the sides of the basket. This session will be part two and will be an extended session to finish your basket item and a light lunch will also be provided.

If you are unable to attend the part one however would still like to attend this session, you are more than welcome to come along and learn weaving techniques.

This workshop is suitable for both non-Indigenous and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples.
