A Sliver of Fishermans Bend: a Jane's Walk
Date and time
Description
Fishermans Bend - plans & possibilities
Fishermans Bend is changing - fast. Fishermans Bend is not geared up for walking - now. Experience the gap between conditions now and the plan for Fishermans Bend to be an excellent place for walking.
We'll walk from Port Melbourne's Garden City to the Yarra River through the Wirraway and Employment precincts of Fishermans Bend - getting to know the place and what is planned for the future.
The walk ends at the corner of Salmon and Lorimer St. Walkers can then either return the way they came, walk into Docklands, or return via Todd Road to the start.
Jane’s Walk is an international citizen-led walking conversation inspired by urbanist Jane Jacobs. Jane’s Walks encourage people to share stories about places, discover unseen aspects of their communities, and use walking as a way to connect.
