A New Fashion Order
The sustainable fashion landscape is changing all the time – and not in the ways that you think.
A New Fashion Order is a half-day, in-person seminar for designers, students and industry professionals who want a clear-sighted understanding of the global sustainability landscape.
Drawing on years of research, industry access and on-the-ground insight from Europe and the US, Lucianne Tonti offers a future-facing view of how fashion systems are being re-shaped and where Australia sits within that shift.
This is not a how-to workshop. It’s a strategic reset.
What we’ll cover over three sessions:
- Redefining Impact: Looking at the limitations of conventional sustainability metrics and re-evaluating impact to focus on positive outcomes that are grounded in nature.
- Beyond Circularity: Circularity has over-promised and like any good ruse, it is being used as a mask for business as usual. This section focuses on evolved thinking and new frameworks.
- Nature-First Storytelling: Stories win hearts and minds and somehow, despite having a compelling narrative, we are losing the battle. This is a tutorial in making nature the protagonist.
Who this is for:
- Fashion designers and creative directors
- Aspiring designers and final-year students
- Sustainability and ESG professionals
- Educators, strategists and industry advisors
What else:
- Light refreshments served mid-morning (11.15-11.45 AM)
- Time for discussion and questions built into each session
- Participants will leave with an advanced understanding of sustainability and the tools to detect and dismantle greenwashing
Tickets
- General admission: $290
- Student: $140
- Early bird: $200 (limited availability, purchase before 11 March 2026)
Places are capped to keep the session focused and conversational.
