A Sunday afternoon of Family entertainment with International Equine Entertainer, Guy McLean and his Team of Australian Stock Horses.

About this event

Guy McLean’s ‘A Horseman’s Path’

Proudly Presented by Bundaberg RDA

It will be a beautiful way to spend a Sunday Afternoon with family and friends.

World Champion, International Performer, and the Official Australian Stock Horse Ambassador Guy McLean, with his Team of Australian Stock Horses, are performing at the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct for a Sunday afternoon of Australian Family Entertainment. This equine spectacular called ‘The Horseman’s Path’ will showcase what can be achieved with Honesty, Respect, and Care by both 'Horse and Human' with proceeds going towards Bundaberg RDA.

Guy will show you where it all begins in the first hour, as he will give a young horse their first ride under saddle and use the methods that won him Two World Championships and an Australian Championship in ‘Young Horse Starting’. This is a true display of the trust and care that is given to the horse’s every move and you will get an inside view of what Guy does to create everlasting bonds with each horse he is fortunate enough to work with.

The second half of the show is filled with laughter, tears and pure joy as Guy showcases his high-level performance team and takes you on a journey of how and why horses have meant so much to him throughout Guy’s life. Celebrating the individual ‘four-legged’ cast members that make his show so unique World-Wide.

Guy McLean’s performances are known for being inspiring, educational, and above all entertaining for both young and old and for both the horse enthusiast and the uninitiated alike. With all of his achievements under his belt, Guy wants to continue to share what a boy from a small country town can achieve with passion and desire and proudly bring it back to Australia, ‘His home where his heart resides’.

Internationally renowned, Australian Horseman & Entertainer Guy McLean is a rare combination of ‘Young Horse Educator’ and ‘Finished Horse Master’ with accomplishments such as 2x World Champion of Road to the Horse 2012 & 2013 and also an Australian Champion at Equitana Australia 2005 and has been named the first Official Australian Stock Horse Ambassador.

Since 1999, Guy and his amazing equine team have been featured at many Australian events such as: Royal shows, Equitana Asia Pacific, numerous major Equestrian Festivals, International Rodeos and the Australia's famous "Man from Snowy River Festival." Another of Guy's talents is bush poetry, having twice been crowned Australian Bush Poet Champion. In 2002 and 2006 Guy received the great honour of being named an official 'Ambassador of the Outback.

These facts, as well as Guy’s three liberty performance teams in two continents demonstrate his complete and utter dedication to everything that is ‘Horse’. Guy is a proud Queenslander that has taken Australia to the World through his horsemanship, Bush Poetry and double handed stockwhip mastery, to show what his country is about with his 4 Australian bred horses by his side. Guy and his team have made major waves in the USA, Canada and Australia and because of this is now Headlining events as a highly sought-after educator and performer at the major Equine Expos with him and the Team packing 5,000+ seat arenas to watch their demos on what it is to be a Lifetime Horseman and a proud Australian Stockman. Guy’s performances are known for being inspiring, educational and above all entertaining for both young and old and for both the horse enthusiast and the uninitiated alike.

Guy and the Team have performed as part of the 'National Finals Rodeo Celebrations' in Las Vegas for 4 years, as well as 'The Royal Winter Fair Toronto', Canada which is the 2nd largest Agriculture show in North America for 3 years. Has ridden and performed among Equine Royalty at 'Devon Horse Show', 'Washington International Horse Show', 'Winter Equestrian Festival', '2010 World Equestrian Games' and many more. Guy McLean and his team have been involved in a history making event when they performed at Central Park, NY in 2014, as this was the first time in 30 years, horses have competed and performed in this iconic park and we also believe Guy's team were the first Australian Stock Horses to set foot on those hallowed grounds. Guy continues to return to his beloved homeland performing with his Australian based Team at events such as The Man From Snowy River Bush Festival, Magic Millions Polo Event, Scone Horse Festival, Cunnamulla Fella Festival, Australian Stock Horse Nationals, Warwick Gold Cup, many Agricultural Shows, as well as his own produced 2hr Shows. Another one of Guy’s accomplishments is, performing with his 4 Australian Stock Horses live on stage for Australia’s Got Talent, which was televised on Channel 9 in 2016.

With all these achievements under his belt Guy wants to continue to share what a boy from a small country town can achieve with passion and desire. Guy wants to be able to inspire and educate people from all walks of life from around the World on his many tours and it is his ongoing desire to create shows to inspire the younger generation, as they are so important to our future for our equine and agricultural industries as the next great horsemen, stockmen and farmers of our Country.
