"A fundamentally flawed love story" is an original musical theatre piece that tells the love story of a migrant couple, from initial romance to eventual domestic violence.
Presented by: Break Boundaries
Starring: Wahyu Kapa & Amy Baranowski
The piece aims to focus on the prevention of gendered violence by highlighting the ‘red flags’ that lead to an abusive relationship. It is created by immigrants for immigrants, with diverse team members from different cultural backgrounds. It will be presented in various art forms including songs, dances, poems and video.

Running from November 25 – December 10, 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an international campaign that aims to galvanize action to end violence against women and girls around the world. Maribyrnong City Council is supporting Respect Victoria’s Respect Women: Call it Out campaign during the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence. This campaign encourages people to call out sexism, sexual harassment and disrespect towards women.
