The Parenting and Family Research Alliance (PAFRA) is a multidisciplinary research collaboration that brings together leading Australian universities and research centres.  The alliance is actively involved in conducting research, communication and advocacy pertaining to parenting, families and evidence-based parenting support.

Join us for the Parenting and Family Research Alliance (PAFRA) Seminar Series on evidence for ending corporal punishment.

Corporal punishment of children is legal in Australia. In fact, 61% of Australians aged 16-24 who took part in the national Australian Child Maltreatment Study experienced corporal punishment as children. This has lifelong adverse effects on mental health.
