The Studio Ltd is an independent not-for-profit organisation, focused on fostering and supporting Australian media-tech and creative tech-startups so they can thrive and compete on a global scale.The Studio Incubator is one of four anchor tenants inthe new Sydney Startup Hub. She is a writer whose published works include, Colour Me Blue (Heinemann), My Longest Round (Magabala Books) and recent short stories in Hecate, <a href="https://verityla.com/tag/gaele-sobott/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Verity La</a>, <a href="https://meanjin.com.au/blog/little-tree/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Meanjin</a>, <a href="https://www.prometheusdreaming.com/separation" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Prometheus Dreaming</a>, <a href="http://www.newcontrast.net/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">New Contrast</a> and the anthology, Botswana Women Write (University of Kwazulu-Natal Press). Gaele was selected for the Australia Council of the Arts Inaugural Sync Leadership training in 2014. She was invited to London by the British Council to attend the 2016 Unlimited Festival that celebrates the artistic vision and originality of disabled artists. She sits on the Inclusion Advisory Committee of the State Library of NSW.Gaele is co-editor of <a href="https://verityla.com/submission-guidelines/d%C9%AAs%CB%88r%CA%8Cpt-a-platform-for-d-deaf-and-disabled-artists/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">/dɪsˈrʌpt/</a>, an online platform for D/deaf and disabled artists, with Verity La. She has a Ph.D. in literature from the University of Hull, UK. <a href="https://hearforyou.com.au/about-us/our-mentors/rebecca-stewart/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Rebecca Stewart</a>, Western Sydney CoordinatorBec was born into a mostly hearing-impaired family, with a hearing-impaired dad and older brother, a hearing mum and 7 other family members with varying levels of hearing loss. At three years old, Bec was diagnosed with a mild loss and received her first hearing aids at 5. Growing up in a mainstream school was sometimes tough, Bec coped by taking control which had mixed results. Bec now has a severe loss in one ear and a profound loss in the other, she was implanted on one side in late 2017 and wears one hearing aid and one cochlear implant. In early 2017, she started learning Auslan along with a few other Hear For You mentors. Bec was also recently featured on the Deaf episode of the ABC show "You can’t Ask that".
