Experience the extraordinary connection between jazz and hip-hop as Noongar rapper Zero Emcee and the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra (WAYJO) come together for concerts across WA this August and September.Hear the phat beats, bold brassy horns, and infectious grooves of a dynamic collaboration that originated in Perth in 2022. These ground-breaking performances captivated audiences of all ages, as Zero Emcee's meticulously crafted songs take on new life with the arrangements of WAYJO's Artistic Director, Mace Francis.Zero Emcee has carved a prominent place in the Australian music scene with his potent and socially resonant rap. From the streets of Perth to the illustrious stage of Dreamtime at the 'G, his journey resonates on both local and national levels.Embodying the spirit of Noongar and Jingili cultures, Zero’s raps have gained widespread recognition on social media, reflecting a deep connection to his roots and a commitment to representing his culture with pride.
