A HUGE welcome toShe SUPs - a female-focused stand-up paddleboarding community focused on empowering women and girls through SUP adventures!She SUPs was founded by Vikki Weston in August 2019 with the aim of creating a safe environment for women to try something new, learn, grow, connect with others and the planet and ultimately feel empowered through adventure. We are based in Sydney, Australia but host She SUPs Socials and SUP experiences across Australia, and host a global community online!Our supportive female-only community is growing every day, and we’d love you to join us! We welcome everyone from absolute beginners to experienced SUP athletes.As well as being a thriving community, She SUPs is also an ASI Accredited SUP School and SUP Experience Host. Whether you’re seeking a SUP Confidence Lesson, a Sunrise SUP session or perhaps even a Paddleboard Picnic (yes… we do those!) we will have something for you!

&#x27;THE NEXT STEP&#x27; is for paddlers who have paddled with She SUPs before but want to look a little closer at technique, understanding the environment, and improving their paddle efficiency. This will also be the FIRST in a series where we also look at paddling longer distances. In this lesson we will paddle approx. 3km. We will then build up over the next 3 months to get you paddling 11km by April 2020! What we will cover:<ul><li> Confirm we are comfortable with prone paddling, knee-based paddling to standing</li><li> Turning &amp; stopping techniques</li><li> Increasing your paddle efficiency (and therefore go further with less effort)</li><li> Understanding boat wake/ swell</li><li> Understanding our environment (e.g. weather)</li><li> Understanding the difference between touring and recreational paddling</li></ul> and of course, I will answer any unique questions you have, coach based on your individual technique and we’d have a heap of fun in the process!! We have 8 boards for hire, but if you have your own board, feel free to BYO!Cost $70pp (including board hire) $50pp if BYO board.
