Come join in two weeks of creativity at <a href="https://www.instagram.com/redgate_art_space/" title="https://www.instagram.com/redgate_art_space/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Redgate Artspace Castlemaine!</a> Our holiday Art workshops are a wonderful invitation for children of all ages to immerse themselves in art making... engaging, exploring and expressing in imaginative and inspiring ways.From Gellli Printing to Pocket Book making, ...Watercolour Wonderland to the ever popular Collage Club...there will be something for everyone at the delighful studio &amp; sensory garden of Redgate Artspace, a fun, safe and inclusive space in Castlemaine, on Dja dja Wurrung country. Facilitator: Melinda Jane is an Arts educator, visual artist and creative Arts therapist who has been working to inspire and support individual creativity in others for over 20 years.

Agenda

Explore the fun and creative process of printmaking using a gelatin print method. We will play with stencils, nature-based printing and layers of colour. 

Workshop 1: Gelli printing  ( Ages 8-10 ) TUESDAY JULY 2

Making art with paper, scissors and glue! Lets create fabulous dresses to amaze the greatest designers!  You will be gently guided through collage techniques and we’re fully stocked with a fantastic array of second-hand books, magazines, and other paper treasures for you to explore and cut-and-paste with.

Workshop 2: Collage club : Fabulous Frocks! ( Ages 10-12) WEDNESDAY JULY 3

Making art with paper, scissors and glue!  You will be gently guided through image-making techniques to create the gardens of your dreams. we’re fully stocked with a fantastic array of second-hand books, magazines, and other paper treasures for you to explore and cut-and-paste with.

Workshop 3: Collage Club: Garden of Delights! ( Ages 7-9) WEDNESDAY JULY 3

Make your very own pocket sized journal using simple book making techniques. 

Workshop 4: Making Pocket Books ( Ages 7-9) THURSDAY JULY 4

As the name suggests, we will be getting playful! there will be music and dancing on the paper... let's see what colour and movement can do to inspire our own playfulness when it comes to making art.

Workshop 5: Colour PLAY ( Ages 5-7) SATURDAY JULY 6

Drawing from the sensory inspiration from a wander in the garden, we will play with shapes and layers of water colour.

Workshop 6: Watercolour Wander & Wonder ( Ages 5-7) TUESDAY JULY 9

Workshop 7: Bookmaking & Gelli printing ( Ages 9-11) WEDNESDAY JULY 10 

In this 2 hour workshop we will create a beautiful tea light holder using tissue paper and stencils. A delightful sensory experience. 

Workshop 8: Creating Tea light lantern ( Ages 5-7) THURSDAY JULY 11

In this 2 hour workshop you will be gently guided through some watercolour painting techniques to inspire landscapes, sunsets and starry skies.

Workshop 9: Watercolour Wonderland! ( Ages 11-13) THURSDAY JULY 11
