The Religious Studies Seminars are a series of scholarly public talks that present a broad and interdisciplinary perspective towards religious traditions, practices, teachings, and arts around the globe. The topic of the seminars in 2024 is Perspectives on Death, Afterlife, and Reincarnation. This monthly seminar series will feature experts in different religious traditions and cultures as well as variegated geographies and literary trends, who will introduce diverse approaches to afterlife, immortality, and metempsychosis. They will shed light on the ways in which ideas of reincarnation and afterlife have been discussed or adopted in different geographies, languages, and religious settings.
