Overview

Relax body & mind in a beautiful outdoor setting under the guidance of a certified instructor

8-week Qigong (Chi Kung) course open to all

9.30-10.15am Fridays from 30 January 2026

What is Qigong?

According to the Chinese, Qi is the life force or energy that permeates all things. It is found in Heaven (the sky or universe), the Earth and all living things, including humans. Human Qi is influenced by Earth Qi which absorbs Heaven Qi.

The Chinese word Gong means work, cultivation, skill or mastery.

Hence Qigong is the practice of working with life energy. Its main objective is to stimulate the flow and balance of Qi, in order to improve health of mind and body, in harmony with nature.

What will classes include?

  • Breathwork - developing slow, rhythmic, abdominal (natural) breathing
  • Loosening exercises - releasing tension, relaxing the joints and fascia, decompressing the spine, opening the energy channels
  • Qigong sets - Shibashi, Baduanjin, Soaring Crane, etc.
