The Bond Business School offers students and staff the opportunity to learn about the [R] programming language from beginners to advanced concepts.
Two multi-modal training sessions will be offered throughout the semester, and will cover content in areas such as platform functionality, packages, plotting, data access, statistics, control flow, and regressions. Additional material will be provided for those interested in covering more advanced subject material at their own pace.
All session material has been uploaded to the Bond FinTech Hub iLearn Community site, which should be accessible for all currently enrolled students and active staff members - if you are unable to access this Community, please contact Dean Earea (dearea@bond.edu.au).
Please be advised The Dealing Room has 40 computers available for attendees, with the [R] software already installed. While these are multi-modal sessions, it is highly recommended to attend physically (if possible), given the facility has all necessary software installed and greater support can be offered. If you are planning to attend remotely, then please still book a ticket and inform Dean Earea (dearea@bond.edu.au) - each session will be hosted via Collaborate within the Bond FinTech Hub iLearn Community site (https://ilearn.bond.edu.au/ultra/organizations/_49953_1/outline). Should the event be booked out, please add yourself to the waitlist and feel free to attend remotely.
The event session dates for the 241 semester are as follows:
- Week 5: 3pm Friday 16 February 2024 [PART 1]
- Week 6: 3pm Friday 23 February 2024 [PART 2*]
The sessions will be delivered by Dean Earea.
