Join the DVE's Fireside with the HE sector leaders as we discuss Work Integrated Learning (WIL) and Australia's future workforce needs.

With an increased interest in Work Integrated Learning (WIL) in the Higher Education sector, we are hosting a Fireside Chat to discuss this topic with the sector leaders. In this Fireside Chat, DVE’s Senior Consultant, Higher Education, Emma Laurence, will be joined by  Professor Joanne Wright (Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Education, the University of Sydney), Professor Ruth Bridgstock (Director, Employability, Swinburne University) and Dr Nicolene Murdoch (Pro Vice-Chancellor, Educational Partnerships and Quality, Western Sydney University) as we pose the question: ‘Can Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Meet Australia’s Future Workforce needs?’. During the webinar, the following topics will be explored: <ul><li>How do universities identify the skills that graduates need for a changing workforce?            </li><li>How can WIL providers contribute to skills-based curriculum development?</li><li>How do universities ensure a quality WIL experience? What does quality look like? </li><li> Is WIL delivering on soft skills as well as practical skills for employers?</li><li>How can universities source placements in an increasingly competitive market?</li></ul>This conversation will be hosted via Zoom Webinar. An online link will be sent once you have registered for the event. If you have any specific questions or thoughts you would like the panel to discuss, please submit them with your registration.
