The ReDress Hub Workshops: Complete Collection

The ReDress Hub is excited to be able to provide diverse clothing and textiles workshops for all skill levels. Our goal is to educate the community to keep clothes in use for longer, reducing waste and overconsumption through creativity, education &  joy.

This collection of workshops is recommended for contestants of ReDressed: ReFashion Competition and Show. Registered contestants are entitled to a 50% discount to one ReDress Hub Workshop.

<h2>Kitty the Camper: Overall winner for Amateur Category</h2><p>Kitty the Camper is a well-appointed, 4 berth Camper, with kitchen and ensuite. She has recently been renovated to create a cosy &amp; comfortable space for a relaxing getaway.</p><p>Available for 2 nights and 3 days, the winner will be able to choose between Old Macs Farm Camping near Launceston or Paper Beach, Swan Point. <h2>Sally Lowe: Judge for Ability to be Replicated </h2><p>Designer and production manager at Spotted Quoll, Sally has a Degree in Fashion &amp; Textiles with Honours, UTS and worked as a Designer in Sydney for many years. </p><p>More recently she taught Fashion Design at Launceston TAFE and has set up the Spotted Quoll Factory in Launceston, so a perfect judge for this criterion!</p>

<h2>Anh Woodward: Judge for Creativity &amp; Innovation</h2><p>Anh is the designer, owner and operator for Mao Couture, in Launceston. Anh has over 30 years of experience in Fashion Design with a Fashion/Textile Degree 1991, Winchester School of Art and Design, UK. She has been the recipient of a number of awards including:</p><p>2021 Bride Choice Award - Winner</p><p>2015 You &amp; Your Wedding Retail Award</p><p>2007 Miss World Wardrobe Designer for Miss England</p>

<h2>Dr Brigid Morrsion: Judge for Skills and Craftsmanship</h2><p>Brigid studied dress and pattern making at the Fremantle TAFE College and set about making handmade clothes for her children and family. She is a passionate sewist with perfect technique to ensure the longevity of her clothes, a perfect judge for this criterion.</p><p>After a  change in direction, she completed her PhD in coastal geomorphology and now teaches Applied Technologies and sustainability-related topics at UTAS. </p>

<h2>Dr Kirsty Mate: Judge for Circular Design &amp; Sustainability </h2><p>Kirsty is the owner and founder of The ReDress Hub. She has over 30 years of experience in sustainable design and a PhD focussing on sustainable consumerism and retail spaces.</p><p>She is excited to be the judge for this category and see how the contestants rethink and refashion their garments.</p>
