Can anyone come to GPN?

GPN aims to support gender groups underrepresented in tech. Our coding workshops are for high schools girls and gender minorities.

Question 2

Where is EZONE at UWA and where can I park?

EZONE is located on the western side of the UWA Campus off Fairway. See Event Description for Location Map link. Parking is free in UWA carparks on weekends. On road parking is controlled by the City of Perth and may require a ticket. UWA is serviced by frequent buses.

Do I bring my own food and drinks?

Accepted Answer

Morning snacks and pizza lunch is provided (or you can bring your own if you prefer).  Students should bring their own drink bottle.

Does it matter that I haven't coded before?

Absolutely not - in fact we love to introduce students to programming. We run Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced rooms on the day, and we will help you find the level that suits you the best.

What programming language do you use?

Our workshops are primarily Python-based. We mainly teach the basic concepts like strings, lists, loops, if statements and dictionaries.
