Is this workshop suitable for my child expecting a period but does not identify as a girl?

The name of the workshop is gendered & inherent within it is a celebration of the journey to womanhood. However, I aim for my workshops to be inclusive of young people with diverse gender identities & in the past my workshops have been attended by non-binary young people & transgender girls.

You'll find more information on my website www.rachelpilgrim.com.au or you can reach out to me for a discussion regarding inclusion of a young person who does not identify as female but will experience menstruation, or a young person who identifies as female but was not assigned female at birth.

Does my child need to have had their first period to attend the workshop?

This workshop is aimed at the age group 10-12. Some girls will have already had their first period, but many will not have reached menarche (first period). Either is fine. No-one will be asked to discuss or disclose if they have had a period yet.
