Join us to celebrate Pasifika Culture and push for action on climate justice and cost of living

NOTE: Venue at capacity - all tickets have been allocated! If you are a Pasifika person who is interested in coming along contact dmathew@uniting.org and we&#x27;ll let you know if there are cancellations.This is a chance to highlight the impacts of climate change and cost of living in Western Sydney, in particular the impacts felt by Pasifika communities, as well as to push for change. It will be led by Uniting Church Pasifika leaders, including new Uniting Church Moderator Rev Mata Havea Hiliau. Following the success of our last Forum in 2022 with Minister for Climate Change and Energy Chris Bowen, he will be honouring his commitment to meet with Uniting Pasifika leaders again during his term!It will be a celebration of Pasifika culture including live performances, storytelling about impacts of climate change and cost of living felt by communities on the ground, and asks for the Minister.This is a free event and refreshments will be provided.P﻿asifika leaders and community members are being prioritised in seating allocation but there is capacity for allied organisations and communities to send delegates. Venue capacity is limited so registration is ESSENTIAL - please do so ASAP to save your seat! Contact Deepthi at dmathew@uniting.org if you have questions. Note: The event has been moved to Olympic Park to give attendees a chance to participate in the weekend&#x27;s Fiji Day celebrations afterwards!
