Man With A Pram 2019 - Healesville

​Man With A Pram is an annual community event that brings together parents, families and communities on Father's Day. Embarking on a mile-long walk, our shared goal is to celebrate and show appreciation for dads, build communities of support, and raise awareness and funds for perinatal isolation.We are focusing on Perinatal Mental Health for fathers and families. We aim to bring forward state and national public dialogue through this event. Join us and be a leader of positive family culture, build your community, and raise awareness and funds for a great cause.Man with a pram is our annual fundraiser for the Dadsgroup Hospital, Digital and Community Programs. Dadsgroup helps families transition into parenthood by running  these programs to connect new fathers and families, supporting them in the perinatal years, and preventing depression, isolation, suicide and family violence. Dadsgroup partners with research organisations, hospitals and councils across the country who share in our vision of supporting the mental health of new fathers and families in the perinatal period.Our aim is that Man With A Pram will be a platform this year and in the future to change the culture of fatherhood. We hope to enact changes both in the community as well as in the health and social service system.

Healesville Sanctuary

Attention all new and expecting dads.Man With A Pram is hitting Healesville this year, for our annual Fathers Day Fundraiser.Join us with your prams and carriers at 12pm, New Dad’s, Mums Grandparents and friends as we create “the village that raises a child”. There will be complimentary coffee and some light refreshments provided by our legendary event partners from Bakers Delight. We will gather at Healesville Sanctuary for coffees and pastries. From there the "Man With A Pram" walk will take place, with fathers pushing their infants and children in their prams whilst socialising with others from their region. It’s a celebration of new life with the arrival of new babies into our communities as well as a championing the importance of active fatherhood! After the walk, we will be hosting a few activities and creating spaces for new parents and their communities to connect with other local new families.This is a great opportunity to connect with other new dads, have a feed, spend time with your kids and most of all help inspire and connect dads in this important stage of our lives.Look forward to seeing you all there.Tickets to this event are by donation of your choice. **More event information to be announced in the coming days.
