5×5  is a free, non-competitive community walking event for people at all levels of fitness and ability.

Healthy Cities Illawarra has teamed up with Soul Fit Co. to bring our 5x5 to the stunning costal walks of Gerringong and activate the Kiama and Gerringong community for better health outcomes. From mums and their bubs with prams, families, those living with a disability and our wonderful Werri Super seniors, take a step towards a healthier and more active lifestyle with our FREE 5x5 waking program.Walking is a great way to improve your physical health and stay energised throughout the day. Plus, with the opportunity to walk with like-minded individuals, you’ll also benefit from the social connections and positive energy that comes from being a part of the community. Who: Open to all fitness abilities and anyone who is looking to improve their mental health through physical activity and healthy eating.What: 5×5 is a free 5-week program where you will learn tips on moving and eating for mental health and participate in a non-competitive walk.When: Enter the six dates below in your diary! Join us for a free information session and find out more about our 5x5 program and then join the walk for 5 consecutive mornings.Community Information Workshop: Please register if you are attending this event.Wednesday July 5th at 6:15pm-7:00pm upstairs at the BOWLO near Cabo.Then join the walk for 5 consecutive Sunday mornings:<ul><li>Sunday July 30</li><li>Sunday August 6</li><li>Sunday August 13</li><li>Sunday August 20</li><li>Sunday August 27</li></ul>Where: Gerringong Bowlo. Pacific Ave, Werri Beach NSW 2534Where to meet: Outside Gerringong Bowling Club on the beach walking path every Sunday at 8am for a 5km walk or just a distance that suits you along the beach path. No booking required for the walk each week. Just turn up on the day ready to feel great and start your Sunday with pure positive vibes with your Healthy Cities Illawarra &amp; Soul Fit Co. friendly volunteers. You can do every Sunday or just dates you are free to join us. Time: 8:00- 9:30amCost: FREEThings you need to know:PLEASE BRING: Water bottle and hat. Parking available, however please consider sustainable transport options such as walking, cycling or catching the bus.COVID-19: Healthy Cities Illawarra will enforce COVID-19 guidelines for the safety of staff, volunteers and participants. These procedures are based around social distancing, hygiene, cleaning and record-keeping.
