Join us for a special Rhyme Time session to launch 1000 Books Before School. Come along to read and sing with us on this special occasion!

Hurstville Library and Service Centre

Join us for a special Rhyme Time session to launch 1000 Books Before School. Listen to simple stories and sing songs and rhymes for babies and toddlers. After the session there will be a Beanstack demonstration and staff will be available to help you register for 1000 Books Before School.About 1000 Books Before School1000 Books Before School is an initiative aimed at children 0-5 years and seeks to arm families, preschools, playgroups, and childcare centres with the knowledge that reading 1,000 books with their children prior to beginning school will prepare them for a lifetime of learning and a love of reading.About BeanstackBeanstack is a free website and app that allows you to log your reading and track your progress. Join our reading challenges to meet new reading goals, collect badges and win prizes!Visit our <a href="https://georgesriver.beanstack.org/reader365" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Beanstack page</a> to register or download the Beanstack app from your app store.Age: 0-3 years oldCost: Free Equipment: Please bring your personal device with the Beanstack app downloaded, or you can log onto the free Library wi-fi to download the app on the day.There are limited spaces, so bookings are essential.Accessibility Information:Georges River Libraries is committed to providing inclusive library services and programs. Please email library@georgesriver.nsw.gov.au or note down your requirements or support needs in your event registration.    Terms and conditions: •	For participants under the age of 16, parents and/or guardians of children must remain in the library for the duration of the program.   •	If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the advertised start time and there are people in the standby queue, your ticket may be allocated to the standby queue   •	If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration at least 3 hours prior to the event. As Library Programs have limited spaces and repeated failure to notify staff of cancellations, bookings may be refused in the future. PLEASE NOTE: Attendance at our events may be digitally recorded through photographs and/or videos. These images may be used by Georges River Libraries in their publications, social media, council’s website or newspaper. Please notify staff if you do not wish to be filmed.
