Western Integrated Family Violence Committee (WIFVC).The WIFVC is a representative, whole-of-sector reference group comprising key stakeholders committed to reducing family violence in Melbourne’s West.WIFVC is one of the 13 regional committees across Victoria funded by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Funding is auspiced through a local organisation approved by DHHS. In the West, Women’s Health West (WHW) is contracted by DHHS to be the auspice organisation for funds and the employment of staff.WIFVC is committed to a collaborative, inclusive approach to support the integration of service responses to family violence across the Westwww.wifvc.org.au

About this TrainingThis training is open to any professional in the western metropolitan region of Melbourne who responds to family violence. Explore how to contribute to risk assessment and collaborate for ongoing risk management through respectful and sensitive engagement with victim survivors, information sharing, referral and secondary consultation. This is not risk assessment training, but forms an integral component of the <a href="https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/track?uri=urn%3Aaaid%3Ascds%3AUS%3A4007e0ce-3b12-4eb7-9d9c-5e2e402d58f1" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">MARAM suite</a> of training for professionals responding to family violence. What are the learning outcomes for this training? Participants who attend the training will be able to:<ul><li>Describe the MARAM Framework including responsibilities that drive collaborative practice across the service system</li><li>Apply the four elements of structured professional judgement to their practice</li><li>Outline now information sharing can enhance collaborative practice</li><li>Outline their responsibilities under the MARAM and Information Sharing Schemes</li><li>Describe what collaborative practice is and differentiate between practice, organisational and system enablers</li><li>Apply intersectionality to enhance practice by examining personal privileges and oppressions</li><li>Explain how to use collaborative practice to maintain perpetrator visibility</li><li>Apply knowledge of evidence based risk factors</li><li>Plan strategies to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all victim survivors including children</li><li>Develop a collaborative risk management plan</li><li>Implement effective processes for secondary consultation and referral within the local service system.</li></ul>Further information about the training:What if I can no longer attend the session?If something unexpected comes up and you can no longer attend the training, please contact wifvctraining@wifvc.org.au to book into another session.Am I eligible for this training?This training is tailored to workers in the western metropolitan region of Melbourne.How will I know if my registration has been confirmed?Your registration is confirmed once you have received your ticket via email.
