Drug and alcohol-free youth events and opportunities that aim to create a safe, all-inclusive environment for young people between the ages of 12-25 within the Corangamite Shire. Funded by FReeZA and Engage! and brought to you by the Corangamite Shire.

Corangamite Youth Services are providing fully subsidized training opportunities as part of its Sync-up career upskilling program for Corangamite Youth.We are offering 24 places for 14 to 25 year old Corangamite young people to attain their first aid certificate (HLTAID011) (*was previously HLTAID003). This unit provides you with the skills and knowledge required to respond to an emergency situation at home, work or while out and about. This unit is generally required by any person needing to hold a first aid certification for work or community group purposes and covers a wide range of comprehensive topics to enable participants to confidently manage emergency situations and provide a first aid response to a casualty. Best of all, our approach to your training ensures that you will learn techniques and methods that can be used in real-world situations and not just in a simulated first aid scenario.Important Information:<ul><li>One day course at the Cobden Civic Hall in Cobden located at 53-55 Victoria Street, 3266 </li><li>Attendees need to provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number on the day as it a national training requirement. If Attendees do not have a USI, they can create one at: https://www.usi.gov.au/students/get-a-usi</li><li>Lunch will be provided. Please advise if you have any dietary requirements.</li></ul>This event is delivered by Heather Munro as a licensee from Life Saving Victoria. This event is fully subsidised by Corangamite Shire with support of Victorian State Government and Engage! funding.
