Shuttle service departs from Lanyon High School 20 Heildelberg Street Conder

<h3>So..... do you plant here often? </h3>Landcare4Singles combines environmental volunteering and speed dating for the ultimate win-win scenario. Even if you don’t meet that special someone, you’ll meet likeminded people and help to strengthen and enhance the ACT’s urban biodiversity.Plant a new tree with a new person every 10 minutes and then join everyone to mingle over a free morning tea. We’ll supply everything you need to help plant native trees and shrubs, including a shuttle bus to and from the site in Gordon.What to bring: Sturdy footwear, sunscreen, hat, water bottle, gardening gloves, warm clothes, wet weather gear.Where to meet: Lanyon High School, 20 Heidelberg Street Conder. A shuttle bus will take you to the planting site nearby.This is a free inclusive event for all members of the community, 18 years and older. The program is part of the ACT Government’s Connecting Nature, Connecting People initiative which supports the safe movement of species across Canberra’s urban landscape. Activities such as these are enriching and building the resilience of urban biodiversity, and enhancing our community&#x27;s connection to nature. Landcare4Singles was first run through the Landcare network in Victoria in 2011 and later rolled out across Australia to engage youth and new participation into Landcare. This event has been running in the ACT since 2012, resulting in around 7000 stems planted.For further information, please contact actlandcare@act.gov.au
