Come and see Brecht’s masterpiece in a fresh, modern translation by Frank McGuinness. Set in a time of war and chaos, the story revolves a servant woman, Grusha, who is tasked with protecting the Governor’s child. She cares for him for years, sacrificing her own hopes and dreams to protect him. But when the war ends will Grusha be forced to give the child up to his birth mother? The play is a raucous parable with songs, politics and more than a few laughs.
